Module assembly at k-tech: From the initial idea to a ready-to-install assembly
In module assembly, we combine mechanical and mechatronic components to form functional, tested units. These pre-assembled sub-assemblies can be used as stand-alone units, modules or integrated into machines, systems or devices.
Thanks to our expertise in CNC manufacturing, control and switch cabinet construction, and cable assembly, as well as in mechanical and plant engineering, k-tech can offer you a comprehensive range of services from a single source.
The resulting benefits for you are:
➤ shorter lead times
➤ fewer interfaces
➤ reduced storage costs
➤ less effort
This allows you to focus on what really matters.
We offer mechanical and mechatronic assembly services – from as little as one unit!
From one-off items through to small batches and framework contracts.
We assemble products, modules and sub-assemblies for a wide range of industries and applications:
-
-
- ➤ Automotive-, Food-, Pharma- and Medical sector
- ➤ Semiconductors-, Electronics-, Sensors- and Optical Systems
- ➤ Aerospace, Solar and Photovoltaics
-
On request, we can supply your assembly pre-assembled, ready for installation, programmed, configured and fully functionally tested.
Mechanical assemblies
We manufacture mechanical assemblies – ranging from racks and frames, through axle systems, clamping and handling modules, to mechanical drive units and individual workstations.
Electrical assemblies
We manufacture electrical assemblies such as switchgear units, control cabinets, cable assemblies, and control and display units.
Mechatronic assemblies

Cross-sector module assembly – outsourcing
Our approach to collaboration
Requirements Analysis
Together, we will determine your support needs. Whether you require a comprehensive, end-to-end package from development through to delivery, or specific services such as the assembly of sub-assemblies, commissioning and dispatch – we adapt flexibly to your requirements and needs.
Development and Planning
Do you need support with design, development or detailed engineering? Our development team will be happy to assist you with this.
Procurement of Materials
We take care of sourcing the required components for you. In doing so, we prioritise quality, on-time delivery and cost-effectiveness.
Sub-assembly
Sub-assembly involves the manufacture and provision of individual parts for mechanical assembly. The correct wiring and pipework of the electrical and pneumatic components, as well as labelling and testing, are also key elements of sub-assembly.
Commissioning
Commissioning involves testing the mechanical and control systems, as well as parameterising all relevant components. I/O tests and direction-of-rotation tests are then carried out to ensure correct operation. The process concludes with comprehensive functional and dry-run tests.
Packaging and Delivery
After cleaning, the assemblies are wrapped in film or packed according to customer specifications and then secured in transport packaging or transport crates. Delivery is carried out in accordance with regulations, accompanied by the relevant delivery note and supporting documents.
Our range of services in sub-assembly
We can handle the entire process for you – or individual stages. Our range of services in sub-assembly and module manufacturing includes:
Project planning and project management
Support from project start to project completion
Right from the start, you will have a dedicated point of contact to assist you. We plan schedules, capacity and material flows, coordinate all internal and external partners, and ensure that your assemblies are available on time and to the required standard.
Design and Hardware Development
Solutions to meet your needs
Our design engineers and hardware developers will assist you with the design of your assemblies – from adapting existing designs to developing new ones. Based on your existing drawings, CAD data or specifications, we optimise components in terms of manufacturability, ease of assembly and cost-effectiveness.
Procurement of materials and components
A reliable supply of components
On request, we can handle the entire procurement process for mechanical and electrical components – including parts supplied to drawing, standard parts, pneumatic and electronic components, cables, and control and drive components. You benefit from our network of suppliers and defined framework agreements, which ensure reliable delivery and stable terms.
Contract CNC Machining
Bespoke manufactured parts
In our in-house CNC production facility, we manufacture individual parts ranging from simple to complex, in accordance with production drawings. Having our own CNC production facility enables us to respond flexibly to design changes, shorten lead times and ensure consistently high quality.
Our high level of vertical integration, from design through to production, ensures flexibility and rapid response times.
Control system construction and cable assembly
Safe operation of technical systems
We combine control system engineering and cable assembly for electrical and mechatronic products under one roof. This enables us to produce ready-to-install units that can be integrated directly into modules and sub-assemblies, from control cabinets and sub-assembly wiring through to bespoke cable harnesses.
Assembly of sub-assemblies
Professional installation for safe assemblies
Our team assembles your mechanical, electrical and mechatronic assemblies in accordance with drawings, parts lists, assembly instructions, circuit diagrams and cable lists. Depending on your requirements and needs, we produce one-off items, prototypes or batches in recurring lot sizes (e.g. 1 piece, sets of 5, 10, 20, … 100).
Testing and commissioning
Unobjectionable and reliable products
Each assembly is configured and tested in-house according to defined criteria – ranging from functional and safety checks and electrical measurements to endurance and functional tests lasting several hours. On request, we can carry out a partial commissioning so that you can integrate the modules or assemblies directly into your end system.
Documentation
Traceable, documented assemblies
We produce the relevant documentation, e.g.:
Electrical diagrams / circuit diagrams
Pneumatic diagrams
Parts lists and production lists
Test and acceptance reports
Assembly instructions and operating instructions
This ensures that all assemblies are documented in a traceable manner and are audit-ready – if required, we can also handle product lifecycle management (PLM) on your behalf.
Service / Repairs / Maintenance
Regular maintenance prevents downtime
Even after delivery, we remain your partner: our service team handles repairs, modifications and regular maintenance of your machinery and plant – including third-party equipment where required. We work with you to draw up maintenance contracts designed to minimise downtime and extend the service life of your production plant.
Batch sizes, series and framework agreements
Many of our customers make use of:
➤ Sets of 5, 10 and other batch sizes for regular call-offs
➤ Individual items for prototypes or pilot plants
➤ Framework agreements with defined annual quantities and call-off batches to ensure long-term material availability and delivery dates.
This combination of forward planning, stockholding and flexible call-offs enables you to benefit from short response times, stable prices and a high degree of planning certainty.
